In 2012, I started Sparks of Kindness as a small way to inspire others to spread love and shine their light in a world that often feels dark. From the beginning, the response was overwhelming. It became clear that so many people want a kinder, more loving world—they just don’t know where to begin. That’s where Sparks of Kindness comes in, offering a simple yet powerful way to make a difference.A spark is a simple planned, deliberate act of kindness such as leaving quarters on a vending machine, encouraging notes at the grocery store or bubbles at the playground.
The movement quickly grew, reaching people globally while also igniting a passion for local action in my own community. This inspired the creation of a local Sparks group in Georgia, where we’ve worked together on hands-on initiatives that bring hope to those in need.
Join me in one of my passions, changing the world with kindness.
It only takes a spark to ignite a wildfire.
A small spark can light a fire within someone making them want to do more. They tell their friends and family about that little spark and then the fire spreads. Like a ripple effect, kindness grows.
Scientific evidence shows that when someone does, reads about or sees an act of kindness, those feel-good hormones are released, referred to as a "helper's high". Everyone wants to jump in and you soon have a wildfire.
We just need to love louder.
Follow along on Facebook and invite friends worldwide to Sparks of Kindness and in GA, Sparking Georgia, where we do hands on events to make our community a better place to live.
Join when you can. Just show up! Can bring friends or make new ones. Together, we can make a difference in our world.
Contact me if you can be on a committee to brainstorm and do more. No pressure, as it is totally low key and fun. We are forming committees to help with the homeless events, visiting the elderly, families in need and fun spark events .
