Living Authentically gives you peace

Debbie McFarland, photographer south Atlanta, Peachtree City, Brooks, GA in Cedar Hill Flower Farm and Studios

What I yearn for at this time in my life…living authentically.
I am probably going to sound crazy but maybe there is someone else who feels the same…that most of our society is walking around with masks on and I am tired of the masks and would love for us all to drop them.
I want peace. What I have discovered over all these years of ups and downs is that peace comes from living authentically, being authentically you, REAL.
I am purposefully creating peace within myself, embracing who I truly am.
Purposefully creating peace with others, where every interaction is genuine… where there is no room for small talk.
I yearn for moments of true connection, where we can sit down and share our hearts openly and honestly.
I want peace in every aspect of my life.
I want to be with people who truly get me, respect me and honor me just like I want to truly get to know the real them, respect them and honor them – not the version of “everything is perfect” or the masks we wear. I’m tired of the masks. I want the real you, and I want to show you the real me.
I want to cheer you on about your wildest dreams and lift you up in your saddest moments so I need to know what they are.
Let’s talk about our dreams, the ones that keep us awake at night with excitement and hope. The ones we had when we were little and they got stuffed away behind the masks and the drudgery of the day-to-day.
Let’s share our fears, the ones that make us feel vulnerable and scared.
I want to know what makes you feel alive, what brings tears to your eyes, and what makes your heart race with joy.
Let’s discuss our failures and our triumphs, the lessons we’ve learned along the way, and how we’ve grown from them.
I want a life where that is purposeful and determined, not just the mundane day-to-day, crossing things off a to-do list.
I want to be inspired by you. I want you to help me be the VERY best version of myself and in return, I can help you become the VERY best version of yourself.
We are running out of time here on this big planet.
Imagine sitting by the fire, wrapped in a cozy blanket, sipping hot cocoa, and having a real conversation about what truly matters to us. Or walking through a peaceful park, leaves crunching under our feet, as we open up about our struggles and our victories. Let’s move beyond the surface-level “How are you?” and dive deep into the “How is your soul?”.
I want relationships where we can ugly cry together when struggling and I want to belly laugh together, supporting each other through thick and thin. Where we can be our true selves without fear of judgment or rejection.
In every aspect of my life, I am ready to be surrounded by people who value authenticity, who are not afraid to be vulnerable, and who cherish deep, meaningful connections.
Life is too short for pretense and superficiality and I have wasted most of my life trying to be more than I am. More pretty. More funny. More likeable. More social. It is time to just be me. Just be you – the good, the bad and the ugly.
I want to live fully, love deeply, and connect authentically.
I want to build a life filled with real, raw, and beautiful moments of true human connection. Let’s sit together and talk about how we really are—no masks, no pretenses, just our genuine selves sharing this journey of life.
I want more peace in every corner of my life. To live a life where I can be my true self and help others do the same. This is my wish, my goal, my heartfelt desire.
Am I crazy? Am I the only out here who feels that way?

I have spent YEARS doing soul work and learning how to lead classes on becoming the best version of yourself. I love helping others do the same, living authentically themselves. See our empowerment workshops and retreats for ladies and girls here. https://cedarhillstudios.com/empowerment-details
